English Department Summer Reading 2nd going into 3rd Form (Year 8 to 9)

These books are for those currently in year 8 who will be joining 3rd Form in September. They are asked to choose four titles (including one classic) to read over the summer.

If a pupil has read most or all of these, the English Department are happy for you to select something from a list for a higher year, but with the caveat that it would be wise to check the book descriptions and make sure that the content is age-appropriate and that you are comfortable with the material.
